Approach for Alternative/Specialist provision to ensure growth against SEND outcomes

PDAM was developed as a tool to support teachers, school leaders and most importantly young people.
Through my time as a school leader and SENCo I often struggled to offer tangible evidence against SEMH and Communication and Interaction progress against EHCP outcomes. I found myself being anecdotal and wanted to create an approach/framework that allowed me to gain a greater understanding of those in my care as well allow young people embark on a journey of growth and self discovery.
PDAM is an approach that allows for this through evidence based assessment of their competency and allows practitioners to ensure young people are appropriately challenged. Through this approach we can ensure that every interaction is an intervention and meaningful.
